Position: Full Stack Developer (AWS)

DESCRIPTION

We are hiring a Full Stack Developer who will create AWS software solutions for our financial system and its supporting middleware, integration layers, and database systems. WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:

As a Full Stack Developer you will be responsible for the following:

Build REST APIs, microservices, serverless integrations and other similar technologies to efficiently integrate new services with our existing systems
Continuously develop your skills through agency-paid professional development opportunities
Develop and build specifications for large-scale initiatives utilizing AWS technologies, domain driven design, and container architectures
Investigate and research new tools and technologies, and make recommendations on how they can optimize the use of our applications
Perform code review and provide feedback to the team on how to effectively develop and maintain database systems that are secure and well architected

QUALIFICATIONS:

Proficient in multiple product management methodologies
Strong logic and problem-solving skills with ability to identify, formulate and solve software engineering problems
Broad knowledge of current technology and best practices and understanding how to assess the feasibility of incorporating technologies into our application framework
Experience in autonomously designing and developing complex systems involving multiple technologies and interfaces; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
An undergraduate degree in mathematics, computer science, engineering, or a related field
Proficient in designing, and deploying solutions in AWS
Experience with Container Services, CDK, APIs, and Application Architecture
Familiar with cloud services, container architecture, feature flags, APIs
Experience using some or many of the following: Node Express and/or GraphQL, JavaScript and/or Typescript, JSON, JAVA, and/or SQL.
Familiar with Windows operating system
Familiar with Integrated Development Environments such as Visual Studio Code, SQL Developer, or some equivalent
Experience testing and evaluating performance of database applications using test automation
Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to explain challenging technical problems to diverse audiences
